also, voting for shado, if he's tree as he says, is precisely the opposite of what we want to do as town and get rid of the termites
voting is the only opportunity we have as town to get rid of the termites, so willingly throwing one away to confirm a town is a pretty risky gamble

re: exterminator - I'm dissuading other people in the thread from following in your footsteps and begging to be stumped, because such moves give termites a shorter list from which to deduce the exterminator's identity

I don't really want to read too much into the posts because, well, it's d0. There aren't any meaningful and reliable interactions until an actual crime has been commited, but to be honest, I think some people right now already look like they're trying to cruise casually.

On a different note, should we even discuss who we think the exterminator should try to protect? While I know the discussion itself would likely influence what the termites do, but it might be better than basically pure RNG?

top point is fair and understandable, but a D0 lynch is a clusterfuck that rarely gives a solid hit

I thought about this too but I don't think it's that convenient

basically you can be swarmed and killed even as a stump. stump does not give you immortality, all it does is rob a vote from town. so voting wolves is still the best option imo

this is some real shit from DBP.

counter-point: is that it'd need to be some seriously hard times for termites to swarm a dead player, and that act alone balances the original lynch. so the net effect is a guaranteed town to solidify the towncore until either termites balance it out by wasting their kill on a dead player (stump) OR an immortal towncore.

all that is bought in exchange for just the D0 lynch

If we assume that I'm a greener looking player (even in this meme phase), it should be a fairly safe position for a termite to take to say I'm on the town side. If you play it right, you set up for the exterminator to protect me through this suggestion and then the termites instead hit someone a little more ambiguous.

I'm obviously not calling you scum yet, but when I talked about people looking like they were intending to cruise, you were the one I had in mind

honestly, DBP and roundbox have both put out a decent amount of alignment indicative thoughts

Charu less so but just barely enough. hateandhatred too around the same level as Charu

mikey less than that but he tends to get more into his thoughts after there's some meat to the game (d1 or later)
