During this session today I have realized an important high level technique for this index style! There is a sweet spot when it comes to hitting the keys where if I stop my finger a certain distance away from fully pressing the key, I can just move my finger side to side without having to lift or lower the finger while the keys get pressed and released due to the sideways movement! The main thing is to make sure the finger is slightly below the height of the key next to it - just enough to press the first key, otherwise your finger will just smoosh into the side of the other key when you move sideways. I assume this technique could be harder/easier depending on the keyboard. Right now I can only pull this off sometimes but if I can become consistent doing this, my skill at higher levels will be more reliable.

I might be able to some day get equiv on this if my stamina continues improving. Index requires a buttload of stamina compared to spread!


I'm almost at the point where I can play the intro of this file as well as I can on spread which is amazing, but this file is just intense enough everywhere so that I'm just barely too drained to hit accurately
