So you protected sunfan night one, since he's who you got info about? That's a super lucky coincidence for the fact that he seered you red the same day you found out he has powers we should be afraid of and kill him instead of you for.

The lack of wolf kill night one implies that they tried to kill sunfan and you are why he survived yes?

I'm trying to come to a reasonable conclusion for why a wolf team would decide that deliberately blocking their own night kill to get information about the person they know isn't a wolf instead of just killing them was the right play.

If sunfan actually seered you red, the chain of events here is like

1/ You blocked your team's own night kill to get info about sunfan
2/ You got info about him the same phase he outed you as a wolf
3/ You're going to die, putting the wolf team down one
4/ Even if your team then kills sunfan, they've gotten a 1-for-1 instead of a 1-for-0 just killing him back on step 1
