See I thought this too for a really long time but then I did spend the money and got a phone that runs things smoothly and dang I wish I had just done that the whole time rather than dealing with shitty slow ass phones
Hunting. It's one thing to eat meat, but to want to go out and shoot it on your own is quite strange to me
Why not? In this way, you have full control in how the animal and its remains are treated, rather than being left out of the equation and having a factory or another hunter kill it for you. You can select your game appropriately by season, age, and sex, take the humane shot (hell, you can even hunt with a bow and arrow if you wanna challenge yourself and level the playing field), and dress the meat and remains according to your moral and culinary standards. I don't personally think I would ever hunt, because I wouldn't be able to deal with a corpse of an animal to get the bits I wanted. But I could see someone who is more comfortable with all that wanting to do it because it would give them complete control over where they're meat is coming from?
peanut butter. when i was in daycare, for snacks we had the choice of little peanut butter sandwiches or ham sandwiches, and i always had to take the peanut butter ones even though i wanted meat
ever since i wasn't a fan of peanut butter
edit: i just realized i bottom-paged you melonpapes sorry

Those are a lot of the reasons right there
1) It's hard work. Dealing with the corpse/butchering of the meat is a big job and physically demanding for larger animals. Actually shooting the animal can be tough, I've shot a rifle and the recoil sent me back a bit, but finding an animal and not letting it get away etc and all of the preparations you have to do. It takes many hours/days of work from start to finish
2) Actually seeing the animal go from living to dead would bring a feeling of "is this really worth it to me?". I got that feeling about eating meat in general so I stopped, but I think it's easier to turn your brain off and almost forget what meat is when you got it at a store. When you hunt there's no way to do that and you're really faced with the morality of your actions. I just don't get how someone can feel good about killing another creature, I don't see the appeal in doing it.
