lol i stopped playing for 3 years too, didnt play once. Not hard to get your skill back. Everyone quits, everyone comes back and gets their old skill back. Just accept the fate and stop lying to yourself. You're plenty good enough to be in D6 and win it all or get very close.

i took about 2 years off. i'm not 100% back to my former skill level, but i've derusted for the most part over the last month or so. if you're actually trying to regain skill, it should come back.

The competitor inside of me was split into two - on one hand, I was thinking, when the placements were made, that it was unfair that Elite Ninja was placed D5 as I knew him as a D6'er and a very capable FFR player. However, I was also thinking that it'd be a good challenge to pit myself against him (seeing as he's de-rusting and hasn't been playing for a few years). If he wanted to be D5 and Reuben placed him D5 then I'm all for it. I think it's fun; I think it's a good challenge and, as the selection process for last round's song shows, this is a very catering tournament to all users and their requests.

I can definitely say I'm putting more effort into playing d4 songs than I would be playing d5.

I don't know if I'm a valid case tho, since last time I was active (aside from these last few months) was 9 years ago. I don't even think there was a D7 at the time haha

I'd like to join but would prefer to be placed in a division that I feel I can possibly compete in because I'm very sure I won't be able to play anywhere near as well as I used to due to many factors over the past few years that I haven't been playing FFR. I'm also fine if that would mean I'm not allowed to earn any of the prizes.

It's not just because I haven't been playing for a few years and gained rust. There's other factors into why I can't play as well as I used to coming in to this.
