That makes sense, but keep in mind that at the end of D2, Op voted Charu and he was a normal VT rather than a chosen one.

So, I'm assuming he may have weird actions and gone into overthinking zone.

They had a pre-game to think ahead too so, it's hard to just point finger at that and go with it.
