I'm on the verge of giving up. Gonna call in sick on friday to spend all day warming up till I reach super sand legend. For now it doesn't look like I can beat first place unless I get another godlike run of 2g going into the jump trills and ending js. I can't even read it let alone hit it D:

I just played through D7's song for the first time...I'm not great at this game, but I've played a pretty fair bit, and I missed 403 notes. Y'all are ridiculous if you can read that mess (no offense, Dossar or Halogen).

Well... I hate to say it, but I have resigned to being in third place. I've been skill training for three days and still I am several thousand points behind on Spaceland*TOYBOX. But considering this is my first tournament, I will glady take third.

Well unless some freak conspiracy happens or mike improves looks like I'm getting 2nd.

I don't know why but I'm super pissed off at this, getting 2nd/3rd is great for me yet I don't feel happy at all, if anything I feel like i've failed. I'm not mad at the file or the other players in D6, just myself.

Hopefully this feeling will pass.

Kind of disappointed about the lack of gameplays in D7 this round, but ah well.

Dano it'll be fine. Top 8 is always impressive and you're second. (YoshL should have been D7 after all! >)

Mind you, the song is extremely difficult and tiring. It requires a very good warmup and focus to play. Also, unless you looked at the playcounts of the top 3 players (which even then, that can be wrong because of restarts), you probably don't really know how much effort has been put into it. Finally, it's not the kind of file you'll improve much on during only a single week, after getting a first good score;

multiply the count by about 4 for restarts, and you'll have the approx amount of times i played it

I will definitely attest to the fact that it needs a phenomenal warmup to get in a good run of odd22. actually went through and got a couple PBs in stepmania before immediately transitioning into FFR and shortly thereafter getting those two runs of odd22 in

unbelievable tournament run for me, i didn't ever think i'd be still improving at this current skill level. s/o to dano+mike+remedy+rushy+dztar+ninty+sofast+restofd6 for making my balls seize up into my stomach on multiple occasions
