Re: The VideoGame MegaPack 4 (OPEN FOR SUBMISSIONS)!
Battle! Ho-oh (hi19hi19) - Oh man, the nostalgia. No complaints. Yes
Battle! Lugia (hi19hi19)) - No complaints. Yes
Betrayal (hi19hi19) - Funnnnnnnn! No complaints! Yes!
Escape of the Infidels (hi19hi19 & mina) - That Expert chart, hahaha. I got REKT. The medium is really fun and the Hard is a nice step up. No complaints.
Yup!
Fighting of the Spirit Arrange V2 (Gundam-Dude) - Nice and energetic file, really fun solos. Yes
Go! Go! Novice Alchemist (Dj_Ossa) - Ahhh, that oldschool Ossa feel. Love the chart dude, really fun file and the song is wonderful. Yessss!
High-Speed Beast (hi19hi19) - La-Mulana!!! Yes!!! This file's a damn high-speed beast, haha. My stamina is ass, so I couldn't keep up for the whole file. Definitely a good challenge!Yarrrrr!
In the Fires of Ignition (hi19hi19) - Short and sweet. No complaints. Yup
McDonald's Treasure Land Adventure Final Boss (hi19hi19) - Both charts are fun. I like how you switched to jacks halfway through to break repetition. Yes
The Valedictory Elegy (hi19hi19) - There's a pretty big difference between the Medium and the Hard chart. I would love to see another difficulty somewhere between the two. But that's not a deal breaker, because it doesn't detract from the file. The Hard is a lot of fun. YuppersComment

Re: The VideoGame MegaPack 4 (OPEN FOR SUBMISSIONS)!
Whoo, 9 for 9 now. Glad you are liking the files!
I'm really looking forward to this pack.
lmao yeah that chart is #justminathings
Still not sure about the alternating 24th JS section into the 32nd rolls in the Heavy chart; I might test some other options and maybe send in some fixes in a day or two.
Yeah La-Mulana is such an underappreciated gem. Carlos sent me this song to step in like, 2011, and I discovered the game because of it. And I only just finished the file for this pack, 5 years later.
It is really rough on stamina yeah, also the split jumptrill transitions are really hard.
Confession: The Standard chart is just the scraps that were left over from when I was blocking out the Heavy chart. I had all this unlayered but well-PR'd stuff lying around and the patterns looked like they could be fun on their own. It seemed a shame to just delete it, so I was like, why not make this an easy chart? Spent like 15 minutes making some BS for the solo and cleaning everything up, instant easy chart. The Valedictory Elegy (hi19hi19) - There's a pretty big difference between the Medium and the Hard chart. I would love to see another difficulty somewhere between the two. But that's not a deal breaker, because it doesn't detract from the file. The Hard is a lot of fun.
Honestly I really don't want to add another difficulty because that song is much more of a pain in the ass to layer than I expected.Last edited by hi19hi19; 06-1-2016, 04:58 PM.Comment

Re: The VideoGame MegaPack 4 (OPEN FOR SUBMISSIONS)!
NameEntry - YES - I had been looking forward to a file for this from you for a long time. Once the stream kicked in, I got goosebumps. You know a file is special and worthy of inclusion if it's able to incite that kind of reaction. The buildup of difficulty and climax theory as well was spot on. NAILED IT. Yes yes YES.
Abyss Stage - Yes - Fun harmless AAAA fodder file. Might as well accept it since we have every other MVC2 song in this pack. :P You're such a doll, Cedo.
Fourside - Conditional - I'm appreciative of the gimmicks you added to the file, but I'm not satisfied with the way it's layered. You're going to need to add as much kick to the chart as possible. Some areas definitely felt sloppy with missing 24ths, layering decisions, etc. A harder difficulty chart in addition to what you have here (after further review) would be great as well. The biggest weakness I'm finding here from your submissions in particular is song choice. Give it some more spitshine and it should be good.
Go! Go! Alchemist - Awesome song choice, interesting notes and usage of mines to keep player engaged. I also enjoyed the layering of freezes. Definitely feels like a signature Ossa file.
Mountain Range - Dude, wtf. This file was LITERALLY already covered and stepped by Glove in superb fashion in VGMP 3 (Stage 2-1). Are you serious? I mean. I guess I'd consider including it along with Glove's chart and call it a Cedo-Edit. But I'll need to see how the rest of the pack pans out.
Supermario - Exagon & Da Boomer's Anti-Remix - Yes - Not your best submission/file but the x-mod tricks were really cool and it's only saving grace. Might want to add more stutter/stop tricks all throughout to make it better?
Work Harder - YES - Ridiculously mesmerizing file. This file actually pumped me up and I had to add the song to my workout playlist haha. The climax theory near the end is awesome as fuck, and made me want to play it over again more than just a few times to try and nail every note (Ok, honestly, more times than I can count on both of my hands lmao). KUDOS! Most fun I've had with Stepmania in a long time.Last edited by DigitalS3r4ph; 06-1-2016, 05:43 PM.

Bro. Go play the VGMP 3. It's the best one out of the three by far. You're missing out on some serious gems...Not to mention, you might be in the middle of stepping something that's already in that pack. >_>
PM me if you find the secret.

Re: The VideoGame MegaPack 4 (OPEN FOR SUBMISSIONS)!
Seconded. Tons of amazing old-school files in here that still hold up really well.
I tried stepping Battle! Hoenn Champion once, but I got the sync wrong.Originally posted by thesunfanI literally spent 10 minutes in the library looking for the TWG forum on Smogon and couldn't find it what the fuck is this witchcraft IGR
