I'm more on DJ Hero 2 now, but that's just because I'm trying to get as high as possible on the leaderboards (My highest is #83 on Dollaz & Sense), but that's with the 5X power deck. |

![]() Makes you wonder if activision regrets canceling dj hero after trap and dubstep went mainstream

Everything about that game was rather lackluster as far as I remember.

![]() Some of the mixes were pretty great. I'm a gigantic shitlord and platted both games on PS3 oops.
DJ Hero 1 took some time to get accustomed to on expert, but then DJ Hero 2 took me almost no time at all to 5-star everything. |

![]() I don't think the series was given a fair chance mainly for 2 reasons.
1. The Guitar Hero series was winding down along with the peripheral based rhythm games, DJ Hero 1 came out in 2009, and DJ Hero 2 in 2010. The last Guitar Hero game also came out in 2010, as well as the last full Rock Band game (RB3) 2. It was a new type of game. Because it only had two games, and 2 years to grow on the players, they were never given a full chance to become successful. I mean, Guitar Hero III was by far the most successful of the series, and they had much more time to grow the idea of a guitar peripheral game. DJ Hero just didn't have enough time. As for the mixes they're hit or miss. It really depends on the actual mixing of the songs, not the song selections (for the most part) to me. |

High score runs are what keeps me going on it. I'm trying to top 100 all the songs on DJ Hero 2. My current best rank is 23rd on California Love Remix vs Nothin' on You. I also got 54th overall on Dollaz & Sense, but it's a work in progress.

with that said, I think it has more to do with the intended audience why play a game with a turntable when there's guitar hero, and/or why play a game with a turntable when iidx is way more challenging and interesting |

![]() yeah iidx is where it's at and the skill curve makes it more worth learning imo
the skill cap for dj hero will never be raised because it's not being made anymore and as far as i know there's nothing like frets on fire for it with custom tracks and shit i still have my controller tho so if something like that existed i would probably pick it up and start making hard shit |
