Back a long time ago, I started my first tournament in D3 and skillboosted to D5 in just a few rounds, and where as that may have happened with you (in your case lower divisions), there are redflags that should be cleared.

I hopped onto MP and talked about this to Lava, and IIRC he said he recorded himself playing but got 2g, if this is an issue of whether he's the one actually playing.

I hope he submits something though, and FWIW I went through something similar to this as well.

He clearly didn't play to his full potential and even said he finally decided to try. I've been hosting tournaments here since 2009, I'm not stupid. I know that people do have the potential to skillboost but given his ranks, how empty they were, the complaints of the songs not being hard enough despite not doing well on the ones he was already getting is all just huge red flags. Why not try the whole tournament then all of a sudden try the final round and AAA it. I don't believe for a second that it was a skill jump.

In the official tournament it's way more common for people to get a decent skillboost by the end because that tournament is 8 weeks long. This "skillboost" came after 2 weeks with nothing else in his ranks showing a boost.

Because he may think that people dislike him by targeting him when there's valid concern for his scores.

I just got done reading the whole Lavadoom thing, and honestly I'm torn. Part of me thinks that he could have been BSing his skill level the whole time, but another part wants to believe him. I remember when Lavadoom's account was like 2 days old and he came into MP and was complete garbage (sorry). But I also remember him trying really hard to get better, and people who do so, especially new players, tend to improve really quickly. But like Kayla said, there are a few red flags that are definitely difficult to overlook. I don't know what I'd do in this situation tbh :/

Anyone remember beary605? Was in D3 for the 8th official and D6 for the 9th. I'm still kinda suspicious of that.
