ftr: just using the flaking out in the past for "years ago" - everything else has come from what was said and how it was said in this thread

@ rebirth: what's the status of the pack then? Have you even consulted anyone privately to be a judge? expecting people to just say "I want to judge" shows a massive lack of leadership/organization -- if you have people that you want judging, ask them if they can and let them know that you want them to commit to it.

do you have any reviews that you can put up? have you worked on anything yourself?

like, you're already showing problems and you haven't gotten off the ground yet.

Rebirth: I apologize -- some fuel from the elitist SM community is kinda lighting under me and with everyone here I feel a very big need to express how stupid things were in the past, and how some users are just acting stupid. I legitimately mean it: best of luck to you and your pack; if it gets off the ground and is released, I will likely download it and play it because I have most of the new stuff anyway. You won't see me here making negative commentary anymore.

Yo, hey everybody take a step back and chill the fuck out.

Is this what the (oldschool) simfile making community has devolved into? Attempts to demotivate packs and bashing people? Its really sad, it really is.

Rebirth - if you want people to start taking this seriously put in some serious time and get some reviews out there. Get some simfile previews on youtube for accepted files, get some progress going. Sitting here arguing with people all day is counter-productive. Get on your judges asses about getting reviews done. BE PROACTIVE.

Everyone else - jesus christ chill out. Its Stepmania. DCP has a lot of elitist connotations associated with it but it is what it is. No need to push your points any further, they've all been made plain and clear.

I don't even know what the theory around my files is thought to be. All I've ever done in stepmania is find some song I like and then use the medium of arrowsmashing to try and enhance it for the player. if you're doing that then I guess you're practicing kil theory.

It's like you haven't checked the first post at all.

I've listed the judges, I've talked to them privately already. You wouldn't know this because private things are private and the community doesn't see private things.

I've told the judges not to overwork themselves and review files in 5 - 7 submission increments, which if you would look at the first post once again, we have 4 submissions. No reviews are necessary yet based on this. No youtube previews are necessary because no reviews have been posted and nothing has been submitted. Even once we do have accepted files, I'm not sure I'm going to post previews

And a third time, look at the first post. I have made a file already and submitted it and have said in a previous post that I'm working on a few more

So all of these problems you think I have, are wrong, and you just have not read up on anything at all. You just expect me to have not done anything. It shows how much you actually pay attention

I don't see a purpose to find a blame at this point. I'm just going to submit something.

Sent a file. I'm ignoring all meanings and other symbolic jargon that supposedly is this pack. To me it's just a pack.
