Re: E3 2014
the hardware for VR is actually coming along pretty nicely. It's not unrealistic to think that we could get a PS4 title running on it any time soon.

Re: E3 2014
VR is just around the corner, which I acknowledged by calling it a wildcard rather than a crazy fantasy.
Mirror's Edge 2 seems like the ultimate way to showcase what VR can do, and that's exactly why I expect a wait. Just having VR isn't the same as making the least trivial possible game to make on VR. Not without sacrificing some of the experience I know people would want from it.

Re: E3 2014
So basically the exact opposite of underwhelming.
Lots of this stuff does look pretty great. I might even consider a ps4 or xbone. |

Re: E3 2014
Did I miss anything important in the last 5 pages
I skimmed it and it looked like a lot of lying from YoshL (big surprise) then a whole bunch of ******ry from other people too, let me know if there were good posts back there Yo those sound effects This better not take the Duke Nukem route and shit on all my happy childhood shooter game memories Because that trailer actually got me the most hype of any recent news Can't believe I missed it Wolfenstein: The New Order did a decent job so I am cautiously optimistic

Re: E3 2014
So far it's been:
Nintendo porting Mario Full Screen for the WiiU, in case you didn't get enough NSMBW Assassin's Creed now probably including romance options, shuttle launches and nazi zombies Bioware building up the Dragon Age 3 hype train for disaster (like Dragon Age 2) Pretty cutscenes advertised as actual game footage OMG games like Mirror's Egde 2 o: |

I haven't played the new Wolfenstein yet -- what did you think of it? (I ask as someone who was obsessed with Wolf3D/SoD as a kid and didn't care for the 3D sequels). Doom... I'm hoping it'll get back to its roots a bit. |

Re: E3 2014
Haven't played it myself either, but I've heard the good word for the new Wolfenstein game.
As for Doom, did anyone else like the Playstation port and the N64 rendition of Doom? I want the new one to go about using that as a base. In fact, I really would like if the new Doom was like Doom 3, but with better shadows and gameplay similar to Doom 64. |
