Love Hurts is rated a point higher than Dishevel due to having a somewhat dickish part in the beginning, but otherwise they're of somewhat comparable difficulty. Yes, if you're not that good at technical files, you'll find Love Hurts easier.

D7 will overflow with AAAs regardless of what they're given this round, so it honestly makes more sense to give D6 the file they'd struggle on more. Technical crap at this level seems to produce less AAAs than files of comparable difficulty that focus on pure speed.

Arguably the first few rounds should be the same for D6 and D7 since D7 is mainly going to AAA it anyways, but that's another discussion altogether. Those files used for D7 could be used later in the tournament for other divisions (more files are available for use)

I have nothing against D6 and D7 having different songs, but I just feel like the first few rounds don't make much of a difference

yeah, I completely agree -- that's why (SPOILER ALERT) next round for D7 is going to actually be... somewhat challenging, as it is at -least- three points higher (arguably more, we're still working on that. Second half of the tournament will get rough for the higher divisions.

I'm really glad that I can play on the R3 engine now (it was previously my own limitations)

hype for dishevel - except iirc round 5 was mi40 and i kinda hated it, but i mainly like mi40 files that one aside

Dishevel requires you to view the 64th color puke as 12th trills because that's what they actually are, just offsetted

I love bmah songs because of their names

You get something named "DREADNOUGHT [HEAVY]" and it turns out to be little japan girls singing

Then you see he stepped a song named like "kawaii desu~uguu" and it could be fucking speedcore deathmetal for all you know

probably one of my favorite files I've ever made except like nearly all the dumb parts were by me and all the parts that flow well were by ilikexd because he's a god
