Distant doesn't work for me at all, my accuracy takes a nosedive and reading becomes much harder than before. In fact, when I switched BACK from Distant to Overhead, reading became much easier.

example:



The first score was when I was at my prime at the time, the second score was after my 3 month break (break started a few days after the first score), when I got that score during my second rehab session. I was using the same computer, same keyboard, same everything.

I tried every perspective, didn't work at all.
I should stop complaining though, lmao, maybe I'll find a decent way of improving my reading some day

overhead/distant doesnt really matter, distant you can use faster speedmod and maybe a slightly larger reading window (since it makes the notes tilted)

but in the end it varies from person to person
isaac uses distant and is a beast but midare uses overhead

i heard mina just turned on autoplay on 1.2 or 1.3 for all the files he couldnt rly read and watched the autoplay to get better @ reading
im p. sure i saw a post by him about improving reading somewhere.......... but then again mina encourages 10hour per-day sm sessions so idk

the great thing about not changing your cmod on lower rates is that it doesn't change the arrow density or space between the arrows and just slows it down so it some how 'sinks' in better idk and great for muscle memory or at least it was for me although I need to play more >.<

I wish I could help you with your problem, Eze. I can't read anything past 360 on SM but on OpenITG, I smack 15% mini and overhead on and I nail a To Make the End of Battle 1.6 AA.
I know this sounds stupid but try openITG for a change. It might help your reading skills.

I wish I could help you with your problem, Eze. I can't read anything past 360 on SM but on OpenITG, I smack 15% mini and overhead on and I nail a To Make the End of Battle 1.6 AA.
I know this sounds stupid but try openITG for a change. It might help your reading skills.

I've thought of that, but OpenITG's reading window is too big for me, (15%-20%) Mini doesn't really help either. I'll probably find a way to make reading easier, for now I'll stick to being an amateur.
