The picture above still poses that question I had...is that really Asaki on the left? It really looks like some random Caucasian guy...

Each artist is paired up with another to create a collab song. All of these songs are featured in all of the aformentioned rhythm games, which is the unique aspect of this event. Another unique thing is that each game will have a slightly different version of each song (e.g. the same song on DDR might have a more rock-like flare in GuitarFreaks).
The amount of brilliance in this idea...

Asaki's known to be very reclusive about himself, and I feel like he didn't want to be portrayed in the promotion nor the event. He apparently did not even present itself (obviously) in a past stream about the disclosure of the collaborations.

As the rumors indicate, the guy in the publicity stunt seems to match pretty fairly a more grown Thomas Howard. Both share the same facial hair and have some similar traits. It's plausible and it's at least the closest answer we'll get for now.

                  I've got to buy IIDX.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and last unlock is: [HARD RENAISSANCE] Elemental Creation / dj TAKA meets DJ YOSHITAKA (BPM: 212)

                  EDIT2: All songs: http://www.nicovideo.jp/mylist/36840098

So I'm guessing these are the two mystery men at the end of the video.

i'm guessing people will want to hear all of the songs that came out of this (so let's make this page impossible to load)
