If I need to say it again I will, people skillboost in tournaments that run for weeks at a time. I don't see what's hard to understand about that. There was nothing wrong with his placement at the beginning of the tournament and I'm not going to punish someone for getting better near the end of it. Arguably you could have been D6, people messaged us about you and now you're doing quite well in D5. I guess we should figure you should have been D6 and remove you right?

Then PM him, you know that we don't want division arguments in the thread it's said every tournament to bring it to PMs.

You also don't have as much room to boost in D5 as he does in D3. The bottom 3 divisions are notorious for skillboosts in a tournament that lasts for weeks. If the official rounds were only 3 - 4 days long and 6 rounds we wouldn't see this. It's been over 6 weeks now since it started (with the delay), that's a good deal of time to boost if you're playing all the time to do so.

Never more than 24 hours before the round. So not yet. May not even see them until tomorrow because he and I have finals we're finishing up.

I didn't want to have to do this but it's getting a little irritating seeing people act this way.

Neither beary605, nor .Rarity had a single score notable of pushing them out of the divisions that they were in at the start of the tournament according to the respective standards of the divisions. I was later told that .Rarity was playing StepMania before and during the tournament, but how am I supposed to know that a D2 player isn't really a D2 player when their stats didn't reflect scores to even be worried about? You guys can place the blame on that one, but you'd be doing so very unfairly.

The same thing was true with beary605 -- I don't even remember him being a notably placed person that I was conflicted with.

I don't know why it's necessary to say things that "no one in x division should be doing x", because that's implicating that it's impossible to improve to the point of getting "x", when it truly isn't. The more irritating thing is that the person being pointed out has actually been trying to improve despite being in relatively safe spots early on.

We literally spent hours upon hours making sure that placements were as accurate as they could be, and yet -- issues still came up. We don't need users at this point telling us where we went wrong because a.) it's either blatantly obvious, or b.) it's not a problem at all. Looking at the score spreads in D4/D5/D6 tells me that something went right.

That's what it says on the 2nd post. The round started Friday last week.

I hope this game stops lagging when the tournament ends. /Out in D4.

Suggestion: You should change the Official Tournament requirements to join to have PianoCore unlocked. @ every public songs played once or at least something that forces players to add more to their levelranks. That's mean with so many songs, but it would give a more accurate measure and they have multiple months to get this. I could get most of my AAAs on everything in less than a month and we're only talking about playing the songs and getting a positive score. It would help a lot with placements on lower divisions imo.

That's not going to help anyone considering you don't have to play the songs through. Plus I'm not forcing D1/D2 players to play brutally hard songs nor am I going to exclude new people that may have just joined a few weeks before the tournament was announced.

There's still a huge difference between playing everything and getting a positive score. They can just hit the intro, quit and register a score if it's too hard. Of course you can say that people could just quit every songs and it still makes their levelranks the same, but not everyone will react this way and if you see 800+ songs with the same quitting pattern, you're going to know that it's kind of suspicious. I mean, at least there's more information to take a decision with..
