Oh and btw on a side note. Why is rarity in D2? It's annoying me so much. He placed top4 in d3 for beatrice if you check his score.....just saying.

It's annoying me so much that people from higher divisions are still ratting on my division placement. My stats (and yes, my skill as well) has been D2 before, and when this tourney started. It was until somewhere between the very end of Round 1-Round 2 I decided to take this a lot more serious.....just saying

Same thing as saying HalfStep (and others) have D4 level scores. People can improve if they start playing more seriously than they did before (hardcore mode engaged). Look at it with a different perspective - it's a bigger motivator for you to best their scores.

A little late, but here's my elimination post:
I came in 9th, but that's really the only bad thing I'm gonna take from this. I had a large amount of support from TB/other people (again, holy shit, 23 people predicted me to win for some reason.) and that meant a lot. Lag didn't really affect me at all, and it sucks that it got to some other people, so my 9th place finish may be a little inflated, but I'm still pretty happy with how I did. I had a lot of fun with the first 2 rounds, whoring out the StD AAA was awful, and then trying to figure out the bursts in Quark was fun. Into Your Eyes was the biggest challenge I'd faced since Pitch Black in AJ's tourney, and I knew it would be close. Still, I'm glad to have done as well as I did, and I look forward to finding out how well I'll do in D5 (or D6 if I skillboost that high before next official) next tourney.
GL to all of those Plopadop hasn't killed off yet on the FPPs.

Dude, awesome job making 9th. It sucks that you're 1 place off. I genuinely thought you'd make it all the way lol, especially after raping my scores in AJ's tourney but yeah, nice job man and I'm sure we'll compete some time in the future! :P

I understand your hostility and understand your sentiment, however I think calming down a little would help.

I've played the nice game while people are being rude and guess what? It makes no difference. I'm just at a point where I don't care to sit there and sugar coat it to someone who thinks it's okay to talk to people that way. He's also had a constant attitude the majority of the tournament. This is part of why I've left staff and am leaving the site once this is over. After so long of people talking down to me I eventually get fed up with it.

And I did so in this so called 'dead time' that everyone is bitching about. If you cared enough about advancing, Mollo, you would be constantly refreshing the page every 30 seconds to find a window of opportunity to get the engine and tournament song loaded. If you were too otherwise occupied to participate yesterday, it shouldn't have mattered that the servers were experiencing trouble and you should have tried all that much harder to get a great score in the PREVIOUS 6 DAYS the round was active knowing that you would be busy at the end.

It's called planning ahead, and IMO no form of retribution should be paid when the rounds are so long. If kmay were to have the better score last round and I were to have gotten 9th, I wouldn't be moping because the servers were down and I certainly wouldn't be demanding any type of consolation prize . I know that I had enough opportunities to get a good score, and I actually capitalized on that. My best score didn't record because the servers were down. So what? Kayla responded immediately and added it to the dash. In the end, people who were eliminated can be sour grapes and blame it on not-that-bad server lag or they can be graceful and accept that they were eliminated due to an assortment of reasons that are their fault.

I'm really glad that someone could see what I was trying to say about it. If the round were not playable yesterday my decision would have been different, but it was. It was just annoying to deal with more than anything. As long as the file were loaded it could be played time and time again even if the site were down. What's most frustrating is having someone blazing at me that they didn't have the time when they barely played the round and didn't even attempt to play on the final day.

Thank you to the others as well that actually supported the decision and understood. (I know I saw a few other posts)

p.s. I agree. You have a whole fuccen week per round, your loss if you wait to the end. Shit happens, plan ahead or get owned, it's as applicable in competitve gaming as it is in anything else.


Oh btw if you are in shortage of tiebreaker files I have a few that would work for the D2 tie. Not sure, but offering just in case.

I have answered this several times already. rarity had D2 scores at the beginning of the tournament. People skillboost during tournaments. This doesn't mean they should be moved because they worked hard. There are some people that have jumped several divisions in skill over the course of a tournament because they are so many weeks long.

That's exactly what my plan is actually, to have the eliminated last round compete for a chance at VROFL.


As far as I could tell the site was loading well all early morning and seems to be doing well now. We'll see how it does for the rest of the day and I'll get in touch with staff to see if they did what they were going to. If all seems well we'll launch the round later tonight.

I am sorry that this has caused you so much grief and you feel that you have to leave. I do commend you for sticking around and dealing with everyone's complaints/bad attitudes and what not. For what it's worth, I think you are doing a great job and dealing with the situation as best as anyone else could and I for one will be sad to see you go.

hi19: I was in the same area, haha. I was searching through ALL of my WIPs, and I sat there and went "are you fucking kidding the ONE TIME I NEED ONE", lmfao. I almost always have some sort of hard file ready.

In any case, I'll have a file done by the end of the day, and I'll run it through bmah at the very least.
