It keeps going up and down (mostly down). During an official tournament it is unexcusable that you're just letting the round pass without giving an opportunity to those who were penalized by this problem. What matters in a tournament is skill. If you need to extend the round by a few days, or even a whole week (so the deadlines aren't shifted over), you should do it. I, just as salitz, was screwed over. I had the potential to place in top 8 and couldn't even try doing so. And i don't see how extending deadlines is unfair to people who already placed? They will also have the same time to try again, if they wish.

Chances are i could have been eliminated this round anyway, but i can't accept to lose for something that i have no control over.

Everyone was affected by the site not just those who were under the line. There was a whole week to play the song and it's not as if this took over an extreme amount of time. You could have tried doing so because the site was never down for an extended period. Was it annoying? Of course but it was not impossible to play. You had just as much time as anyone else did in the round. As I also mentioned before I do have something I'm going to do for the eliminated but frankly if people are going to have poor attitudes (yours has been pretty poor throughout) they'll be excluded from it.

The round is not active. As I mentioned previously the site was never down for any extended period of time, while the up and down was a nuisance it was still possible to play the round. Had the site actually gone down for a full day or for several hours at one time I would have extended. The fact is we're going to deal with things beyond our control just like the engine lag. Should we have stopped because that was affecting people? Had extensions? This is why rounds are a week long it gives time for things like people's outside lives or issues like this one.

Everything for the tournament is on hold right now including that. I'm not giving the details of it yet you guys are just going to have to wait and see when the time comes. I need the ties to be settled before it can be started as well.

That's exactly why it would be fair to give an extension to everyone. I'm not going into the details because if you don't understands the logic of it, then it's useless to argue about it.

Right because you're totally taking into account that if we extend it one day that those people may not be able to play because of prior engagements they may have to deal with. The week long rounds are predetermined and people know they run from this day to that day. I'd be pretty pissed off if the round that I thought was going to be ending got extended a day and I was stuck working all day and couldn't play, or had a ton of class stuff to deal with. I personally have finals for my term this week and if I were still in I wouldn't have the extra time to focus on the extra day that shouldn't be there. Also don't sit here and treat me like I'm stupid because I decided against adding a day that could have potentially screwed competitors.

Edit: 3 days out of the round you didn't play at all and I see a whole 22 plays for you recorded in the dashboard. You have no one to blame but yourself for not putting in the time that you did have to play.

I understand your hostility and understand your sentiment, however I think calming down a little would help.

Your solution will never please everyone. I completely understand the logic behind your decision and respect it as official. It is incredibly kind of you to take extra time on top of all that you are already doing to put together something for those eliminated. That is something new and something really awesome.

It sucks for the people that feel they got eliminated because of the system failures, but there is no way to fairly compensate for it. I think the best bit of wisdom for those that disagree is "Life is not fair." The best thing you can do is to pick the MOST fair solution, and I think doing what you are doing is the MOST fair possibility.

So, consider at least one person on board with your executive decision.
