Considering everyone has different tastes in music it's kinda hard to be technically "objective" about it. I don't intend on using some generic techno type thing if that's what everyone thinks

that's pretty much what I mean by objectively good, the best charts come from songs with something interesting structurally or rhythmically through variety, climax theereez, etc. On the macro level, yeah you can't say "rock sucks techno rules" objectively but you can certainly say one song is better than another once you ignore genre expectations and that sort of stuff.

I trust your judgment in not picking songs particularly niche or particularly boring because that would kind of defeat the purpose of the whole shindig
