Nevermind, can't find a .mp3 that's 320kbps.
I only step with high quality.
Not trying to insult you but let me point out whats wrong with this.
1. Most files in stepmania are 192kbps to begin with. 320 is just wasted extra space.
2. Chances are yours, and everyone elses audio equipment in here is nowhere near good enough in order to discern the difference between 192kbps and 320kbps. Other than that it is probably the placebo effect.
3. Really want things in high quality try stepping flac or wav files, but again wasted space.

Most audio equipment built within the last 5 years can differentiate between 192 and 320.

Thats like saying a pair of shitty logitech speakers, just cause they were recently made, can tell the difference. The answer is 128kbps is pretty noticeable yes but 192 and 320 you can't tell if you have an average set up. You especially won't be focusing on the music if you are busy tapping away at keys. Please do double blind tests with a subpar set up and lemme see how you do.

No, that's not even close to the same thing

Even when I still used a shitty pair of $50 headphones to step, there's a HUGE difference between 192 and 320 for stepping. There are a lot of sounds that get lost between the two, and if you use DDReam, the waveform on the 192 is WAY harder to read than the 320. So yeah, having a 320 is kinda important for stepping

there's no "standard audio quality" for most stepmania files what are you even on about
also that wasted space sentiment is wrong as fuc

there's a noticable difference between 192 and 320 even on an integrated soundcard if you use any sort of headphones worth their salt. Shit, you can tell a difference with ****ing portapros. The whole "placebo effect" argument doesn't apply here
