hmm, if it can help, try to not jump anything in the bursts, try to focus on the exact pattern (sometimes you may have to focus more on one hand than the other)

focusing on the left hand helps but i still block. it's hard to explain. it's like my brain just won't allow me to play after practice a file that isn't very easy for long enough.

I can AAA everything (not in one run) cept for the second jumpglut. I always miss or get a ton of goods, averages, and boos there :<

have you tried to pause your replays on that part and see what you do wrong ?

ss'd, pause the replay, practice the patterns logically for 20 minutes etc.

ah, hadn't looked much into the dense section. i don't drop misses there, so i haven't worried as much about it. but hadn't noticed those 'interesting' sections before XD

My problem with the D3 song last night is I'd just pick up tons of goods due to the lag. I was able, at least, to AAA up to 140 or so before random goods would pop up, so I think once I play the file more and get used to the patterns (still haven't read all the way through), I'll do better.

Yes, exactly that one. And also this:

Get out of here, that's one of the easier sections to do. Every other pattern is balls, this one is easy as the jumps are at the beginning and end, and they're both using one hand so less splitting.

Indeed. A lot of people in D2 could easily improve to D3/4 if they were actually thinking about how to improve, instead of just playing the game mashing arrows in the hope of magically becoming better.

After all, large gains in skill usually come in shockwaves as new insights are gained, and these new insights are gained efficiently by thinking consciously and logically about matters.

There are almost 10 people in my book who could easily win D2 in this way if they tried to do this a bit.



I don't think Reikonkeiri meant to make an arrogant statement implying he would easily win, though. He was probably just playing the obligatory defence against the people who would call him a misplaced sandbagger.

The difference in honorability between someone who does well only because he was misplaced, and one who does well because he worked hard to become better is very large, after all.
