Files should have the right to include difficulty spikes of all sizes...except for Crowdpleaser. It's part of the whole challenge, and whether it's a good or bad thing, will get people playing the file a lot more.

The unspoken idea that a file is supposed to have a relatively consistent difficulty is too restrictive. Crimson Crescent isn't outrageous, but does give you something to work on. And when you do get past that hard part, your sense of accomplishment is only that much greater.

I have yet to see a tournament without complaints about the songs. It's inevitable :3. Hell, I do it too sometimes.

Yeah nothing beats crowdpleaser in terms of difficulty spikes lol. The anchors in Crimson are pretty weird but aren't THAT bad of a difficulty spike.

HEY GUYS STFU. Every single DF tourney we throw files like this at you guys, it's absolutely ridiculous that every tourney we have to deal with this crap. If every song we gave you were so easy to AAA what fun would that be? The tourney is supposed to be a challenge. None of you are going to love every single file we throw at you, especially with 2 songs per round. There's nothing wrong with files that have difficulty spikes in them, it keeps you on your toes and keeps it interesting. If we had rated it based on the easier part of the song then you'd have a right to complain but the fact is it was an opener for D6.

I will give the warning once, we don't tolerate this kind of stuff in our tourneys. If anyone continues with the rude comments/fighting they will be DQed and yes it's in the rules on the OP. If you wanna discuss a file that's one thing, acting like this is ridiculous.

This tourney has over 7 Million credits to give away and everyone that plays through gets a piece of it. So seriously if there's a song/chart you don't like do your best and move on. There's plenty more to come to make up for points. No eliminations means it's anybody's game almost the whole way through.

Those double jacks legitimately went to the file. I made it hard for the purpose of it being a tournament song.

guys - if you're expecting a tournament of ours to be linear in difficulty and to not have any sorts of difficulty ramps and valleys, you're definitely on the wrong track. You guys are being incredibly rude to Byron, who actually did a REALLY good job on this chart, and spent a crapton of time on it doing a gimmick that I'm pretty sure no one has credited him for.

and for all of you in D6: if you're complaining about difficulty spikes NOW...ahahahahaha

Unfortunately, some complaints are pretty much inevitable when you release new files. I think you'd enjoy running this tournament a lot more if you accepted that rather than being annoyed by it

Personally, I'm really impressed by the quality of the files so far, especially since you're releasing 72+ new files just for this tourn. And to all you haters, not all files are gonna be easy/straightforward to AAA, *especially* in D6

Or I can give warning that it's against our rules to act like that as stated in the OP which is what I did. Complaints is one thing, flaming the stepartist is another.
