International factor of FFR
how do you explain there are so few active players at any one place outside the US
take Europe and Brazil for example they are both very heavy internet using countries with population in the hundreds of millions combined yet the amount of active players is extremely low what brazilian kids don't enjoy the rhythmic tapping of arrows like the american ones? |

There are lots of Canadian kids too.
And I think the main factor is that this is an English based site, and most European countries don't speak English. |

Re: International factor of FFR
most countries learn english in school now... also, large 1st world countries who have a ton of kids on the internet tend to learn english just because the net is so english dominated.
the reasoning? my guess? they just don't know about it. rhythm gaming in general isn't really known in those countries... no DDR/ITG... so how would they know about the online variants?

of course we want more users. we just aren't going to spend the money to advertise... i mean, even if we did advertise, it would be to US/Canada/UK audiences, as that's where the ad revenue is. it comes down to business. and, currently, we don't advertise at all.

Re: International factor of FFR
You know how mozilla has all sorts of buttons to advertise their software? Maybe FFR could do the same.

Re: International factor of FFR
How about making an FFR browser? People like new browsers that look cool, run smoothly, and have no pop-ups. Plus, it could have add-ons that come with the program to make your FFR experience even more enjoyable. A while ago my big bro taught me how to make a browser. It's pretty complicated, but I'm sure our educated Admins can do it.
Plus, it would probably get a lot more users from around this nation.

Re: International factor of FFR
I saw we make tons of little advertizing signatures/picture things. (Like firefox and other programs have) I still think what FFR should try to get an advertizement onto HUGE sites. Like youtube, google, etc....

Blendtec's "Will it Blend?" videos are really popular and does a good job advertising Blendtec's blenders. Maybe we could think of something that would catch one's interest to watch the video on youtube and include a way to make it so that people would be curious to check out FFR after watching it.

Re: International factor of FFR
I'm the only active mexican player D:
And at the beggining, I didn't come here for the game, actually I suck at ddr and piu and some other rythm games like drummania even though I'm a drummer irl xD. I came here looking for bowser the schredder mp3. IMO, the best way to globalizate ffr is with the music, getting permissions from other countries' bands and stuff like that. I could get some mexican bands on ffr but I don't know if you will like them -_-;
