Oh, okay, if it makes you guys happy. I'll play the files on the pad. In fact, I'll do it right now, and show you how little my opinion of the files changes. I'm not going to bother arguing with anyone. I'll just go do it.

        Re: FLipSide FFR pad packs

it's perfectly possible to develop an opinion of a pad file on kb. i played most of the files on pad yesterday, but before that i had already decided which ones i was NOT going to play based on playing it index.

Try and add the Snowflakes Oni Chart.

Flip, any chance of adding that in the download? I dont think that the Heavy can really stand on it's own.

If not, then I might just release it

                Re: FLipSide FFR pad packs

                incoming full review lol.

All of the World (intensez): missing notes, extra notes, some annoying hands and patterns. but it was actually pretty entertaining lol [5.5/10]

Angel Stays on this Ground (Flip): again, missing notes etc but this time not very entertaining at all. the way it doesn't flow with the music really interferes with the fun value [4.5/10]

Aztec Templing (EnR): offbeat, playable with offset fix, still nothing special though [5.5/10]

Beethoven Virus (i love you): holy **** stream patterns are atrocious. playing this on pad is less enjoyable than shooting myself in the foot. ps 24ths.......-.- [2/10]

Below the Surface (Grim): you know, if maybe the crossovers were a bit better planned out, this would be much more enjoyable. felt like an ITG official wannabe chart, didn't quite pull it off. nonetheless a good effort [6/10]

Bomb the Base (Flip): actually pretty fun. some JS patterns seemed a bit excessive for the song, but it was ok [6.5/10]

Brightone (Jimerax): holy **** yes, whole pack shoulda been like this xD [9/10]

Carol Megamix (Flip): dude, you gotta listen to the music when stepping streams. again, missing arrows, extra arrows in stream. bad freeze usage and jump placement is sketchy throughout. improves later on but not much [4/10]

Carrousel Paradise (Timer Rabbit vs. Grim): wow. horrible stream patterns loaded with crossovers and meaningless trills. jacks are over- and poorly-used. mines and hands badly used as well. pretty much nothing enjoyable here xD [1/10]

CIA Rave (i love you): things were going -relatively- smoothly until the retarded 24ths started showing up. lousy crossover usage, i had to double step alot, and the jumpstream is just annoying in a song that should really just flow. and LoL at the jacks at the end [3.5/10]

Color of Giggles (Timer Rabit vs. Grim): oh sweet jesus no [0.5/10]

Crow Song (Sulfer Dragon): haha sweet job dude holy ****. played this a few times actually [8.5/10]

Crying Soul (Grim): okay, pretty decent easy file. a bit offbeat, understepped in some parts even for an easy song. again, watch your crossover patterns man and you'll have some pad potential [6/10]

                Dazzling Destiny (gnr61): [my file/10]

Piano Etude (Demon Fire) (Xiaounlimited): ok wtf insane. definitely a 14 at least xD. the middle section is hella boring, but not much you can do about that. really disliked the bpm tricks too. they were technically correct i suppose, but didn't work at all with the song. i was more like "wtf." also, horrible stepping choice. classical wtf dude. nonetheless, its all technically correct and great as a scoring file [7.5/10]

Destiny (Flip): why step something thats already in ITG?! didn't play sorry [NA/10]

Divinity (Flip): pretty cool. reeeeally disliked the jacks, hands, and jumps at the end of streams in this one. it woulda flowed a lot better without them. still, the crossovers were pretty fun and the 32nd bursts were a cool challenge [7/10]

ESC (Xiaounlimited): my favorite of yours in the pack. really well done. my only qualm is that you more or less stopped with the bpm tricks you used in the beginning after the first slow down :*(. still nice though [8/10]

                EturnuS (Professor Raine): ............[2/10]

Exciting Hyper Highspeed Star (Flip vs. i love you): ugh. again, please listen to the music when stepping streams. more random stops and unnecessary arrows in the beginning and end, like you just couldn't figure out what to step to. the parts where there are jumps to the words that turn into streams when its -all the same music- is dumb too. ps LoL jack [2/10]

F (wyde): who are you lol this was excellent. great job [8.5/10]

                For FFR (Novacaine): no. [0/10]

Gaussian Blur II (EnR): not bad, again, nothing special. great file for scoring thats about it. will definitely hang on to this because of that [6.5/10]

House Leaves (Professor Raine): huge step up from EternuS, not a huge step up for pad files. keep improving though [5.5/10]

J219 (SCWolf): not bad, not that fun either. :ver average: [6.5/10]

Lawn Wake IV Oni (Xiaounlimited): cmon dude the ending. cant pass this rofl. [ouch my legs/10]

Lawn Wake IV Heavy (Xiaounlimited): ok there we go [7/10]

Life Light (flipsta): still don't like this. patterns are ok and all, but the very beginning irks me, as does the fact that the incredibly obvious slowdowns are completely ignored ;_;. in all fairness though its a decent file [6.5/10]

Love Coloured Master Spark (Xiaounlimited): [tl;dp/10]

Monstrous Turtles (Flip vs. i love you): certainly a step up from your other stuff in the pack guys, though the cut was =.=. make more files like this though and less like ehhs pleeeeeeeeease [7/10]

Naisydfakljekifgiewjifewmifwamilewfg (Xiaounlimited): very nice. i like this and ESC a lot more than LW and Demon fire. these mid-difficulty songs are where it's at for you i suppose. the jack-jumps kinda ruined the fun for me, but i guess thats just because i suck at them [8/10]

Over the Rave (~Zero~): 32nd trills/jack-jumps are :ver annoying.: technically correct but the crossovers were really uncomfortable as well. overall decent [6/10]

Paranoia (Wyde): see F. also +++++++ bpm tricks [8.5/10]

Party4U (that timer rabbit character): not playing after seeing cdtitle [NA/10]

Progression (Xiaounlimited): empty edit chart lulz. oni is hella fun, though it felt long to me for some reason. jacks rape me on pad too lol [7.5/10]

Radius (Flip vs. Ravia): haha actually pretty cool file. mines were lol and there were a few parts that i woulda done differently for the sake of flow on pad, but good job overall [7/10]

Roller Coaster Ride (Flip): pretty dull >.> [4/10]

                Rottel Oni (~Zero~): [roflmao ouch/10]

                Rottel Heavy (gnr61): [my file/10]

Sail Away (Flip): quit out after the very first stream error, cmon man [stop it/10]

Secret Zombie Room (intensez): bleh the steps to the percussion go to more or less nothing. especially the jumps wtf lol. [3.5/10]

Sepia (imadethisfromboredom): nice. steps felt quite a bit too hard for the song but then again, i pretty much suck. technically accurate as far as i can see, and pretty damn fun. good job [8/10]

Shihen (Xiaounlimited): okay, for this one, the jack-jumps just about killed any decency this file had. not terrible at all, but some parts were just like +____+ [6.5/10]

Silence (Flip): your best file here. pretty fun all around, and the errors were at a minimum xD [7.5/10]

Sound of My Dream RMX (Flip): preview music sounds absolutely terrible. i hate terrible songs [NA/10]

Southern Cross (Flip): oh my jesus christ wow someone just learned how to place mines and stops and bpm changes and went overboard holy **** [2/10] what an awesome song to :*(

the Dream of Scarlet (Sulfer Dragon): wow this is like a spread file. insane hands, mines, and jumpstream. had waaaay too much trouble with this, and its just kinda annoying for all its technicality [5.5/10]

                Z (dore): yes [9/10]

                that was long

                  Re: FLipSide FFR pad packs

Well, crud, puppet beat me to the punch by a mile and I had this huge post.

Well, I have no reason to listen to you either. At least I know what I'm talking about when it comes to this ^_^

It's not my fault a lot of people can't take criticism. Makes me wonder why people even bother to give it anymore. I mean, we're the ones spending our time writing all of this up when we could be doing better things. There are going to be negative comments, and there are going to be positive comments. People should learn to accept and consider what others say rather then just flaming them, and telling them how wrong they are. As long as the reviews aren't directly insulting the simfilest (Calling them an idiot, telling them they should just quit because there's no hope for them, etc.), then there's no reason to be an asshole back to them. They were trying to help, wow, what a surprise. Of course, people will just flame me back for this post, but if they do, they're clearly immature, like most people on the internet.

Now, I played through about half the files on pad. These are my very honest opinions. You probably still won't accept them, because some of them are negative, and this will all just be a waste of time, but I'm just trying to help. I'm not going to be harsh unless the file was an absolute disgrace.

All of the World - Challenge: Freezes in the beginning need to be used more carefully. The 16ths at the end have several awkward patterns that are a little tricky for a 9. Parts flow, parts are weird. Not terrible, but needs work. 5.5/10 Heavy: Didn't notice there was a Heavy, sorry.

Angel Stays on This Ground - Unpredictable. Lacks consistency. Random freeze placement. Parts were fun, but file needs work. 4.5/10

Aztec Templing - Did not play.

Beethoven Virus - Challenge: Quit at 24ths... again. Not cool, okay. 1/10 Heavy: Some of the patterns are to tricky for an 8. Otherwise, good. 8/10

Below the Surface - Challenge: Not playing, rofl. It will be even worse then on the keyboard. 1/10 Heavy: Wow, most of the file is just an 8th stream, rofl. Totally lacks creativity. 3.5/10

Bomb the Base - Parts of this were fun, and parts were a chore to play. What's with that random 16th jump? Overall, better then I expected. 6/10

Brightone - Not playing because I already know it's cool

                  Carol Megamix - Didn't play.

Carrousel Paradise - Challenge: Ugh... this was not fun. It's just a bunch of random garbage with really really obnoxious patterns. 1.5/10 Heavy: To many twists and turns for a 7 footer. Needs a little more variation. Not sure what else to say. 4.5/10

CIA Rave - I'm not good enough to do this... Basically, the same things apply as when I reviewed it before. NA/10

Color of Giggles - Challenge: Uh, see Carrousel... Heavy: Most of this file was the difficulty of a 5, and then there was a few harder spots! Lacks flow. Needs a lot of work, sorry. 3/10

                  Crow Song - N/A

Crying Soul - Awwww, you should have followed the drums more in the beginning. Not bad, better then your other file, but some parts were a little off. 6/10

Dazzling Destiny - Uh, yeah, I'm not attempting this...

Demon Fire - Challenge: ^^;... Heavy: I was pretty impressed with how you stepped this. It started to fall apart a little near the end. Until then I was going to give this a 9.5! Good job though. 8.5/10

Destiny - Not playing, because there is an ITG chart already.

Divinity - Quit out. I could not enjoy this at all. Needs an easier chart. NA/10

ESC - Challenge: Fun, but there were some bad patterns. Also, to many jacks. 7.5/10 Heavy: Why was one of the holds at the beginning longer then the others? The jumps in the first slow part get boring. I didn't like how you did all the freezes and hands in the second slow part. Otherwise, this was stepped pretty good! 7/10

EternuS - Eh, I can't really rate this because I've played so many other files of it, but if I compared it to some of the them, this isn't nearly as good. Challenge: Jumps thrown everywhere! Jacks, 24th trills. Maybe if I was way better I could enjoy this, but it still seemed messy. Heavy: No comment, because I'd be totally biased.

Exciting Hyper Highspeed Star - Eh, a few parts of this were cool, but others were just bad. Pretty much the same as when I played on keyboard.

F - Challenge: I liked it. There was one 16th burst that was awkward, but otherwise it was fine. 8/10 Heavy: Didn't play. I'm tired...

For FFR - I don't think I'm going to bother with this...

Gaussian Blur 2 - Challenge: Not attempting... Standard: Why Standard, haha? Yes, it's simple, but it's one of the best and most decently polished files I've played in here, and it's not to hard for me to enjoy. Huzzah! 9/10

House Leaves - Fun as hell. 8.5/10

J129 - There were a few spots I could tell you didn't know how to step, lol. Maybe the big 16th streams aren't necessary. Otherwise, I liked it! 7.5/10

Lawn Wake IV - Errr... I think I'll pass =P

Life Light - Just as fun as on keyboard. To bad there are those few awkward patterns. 9/10

Love Colored Master Spark - Will play later. I can't handle such a long song right now.

Monstrous Turtles - Will do later~

Naisyaodakunyan - A few awkward patterns, and one of the 24th burst was to nothing, but good. 8/10

Maybe the rest later, if you don't go all crazy.

                      Re: FLipSide FFR pad packs

I nominate gnr for being the most interesting reviewer of packs on FFR. (only pack review I've read in a while that made me lol)

                          True, though I wonder if I'm in trouble for the Party4U stepfile, I kind of helped out with that...^^;

Im going to rest my case on sulfer dragon with this

reading his post about him playing the pad, it seems as if he wasn't good enough on pad to enjoy the harder files, hence the quit out on Divinity

The only decent looking files that I saw were

                              Crying Soul
                              Destiny
                              Crow Song
                              House Leaves
                              F
                              Paranoia
                              Carol Megamix
                              Z
                              CIA Rave
                              Over the Rave
                              Naisyao-something
                              Color of Giggles
                              Dazzling Destiny
                              Carousel Paradise
                              Eternus
                              Lawn Wake IV

by decent I mean that I would actually try to play them. Note, that I haven't played any of these. I simply looked at each file on SM on with autoplay. Also, I thought this was a pad pack. Why are some/a lot of the songs in MP3 format?
