I'm gonna love watching Nickelodeon explain this one.
Nickelodeon, the network that carries Spears' series Zoey 101, issued the following statement shortly after the announcement: "We respect Jamie-Lynn's decision to take responsibility in this sensitive and personal situation. We know this is a very difficult time for her and her family, and our primary concern right now is for Jamie Lynn's well being".

Yeah, especially since the target audience for her show is 9-13 years old.
"Okay, so, the main character got funky with some guy, and he was too stoned to remember to pull it out, so now she's pregnant, and there won't be any more Zoey 101 episodes for... a long time."
I'm actually kind of sad about this one. Yeah, she is the sister of one of the most tragic starlets in history, and yeah, she is from a small town where all any good little girl wants to do is get married and have babies (not necessarily in that order), but she was seeming very well-adjusted for growing up in the shadow of Britney. She has done TV for a long time and her show is a huge hit for Nickelodeon.
I understand that she is entitled to her own life, however she chooses to live it, but she is also much more of a role model for young people than Britney Spears could ever have dreamed to have been. I feel bad for her -- she never had a chance with her crazy family.

How parents are approaching the topic with their kids (I especially like the parents who are just going to pretend nothing has happened and suddenly ban their kids from watching Zoey 101).

I didn't know that girl was Britney Spears sister.
:O!
I feel bad.
I'm going to watch her show to see.

lmfao
She sounds more responsible and mature with how she's dealing with her actions better than brittany did.
At 16, Britney was barely breaking out with her hit single "...Baby One More Time". She wasn't pregnant for the first time until she was in her twenties.
That entire family is the great american novel. It's like "As I Lay Dying" (the novel, not the band) except in modern times.
"A new take on the epic fantasy genre... Darkly comic, relatable characters... twisted storyline."
"Readers who prefer tension and romance, Maledictions: The Offering, delivers... As serious YA fiction, I’ll give it five stars out of five. As a novel? Four and a half." - Liz Ellor
