    The classic "Afrobean" case.

Becoming a mod takes a lot more than just gaining respect, posts, popularity, maturity, and years spent at the site. It takes intangibles, a what have you done for the site lately, why would you be good for the site (timezone, special ability connection), if there is even a need for a mod.

PS: You have to send Nestlekwik a box of chocolate zingers.

There you have it, in order to become a mod, you have to be a ghost.

Intangible characteristics, unable to define etc.

                Mods are overrated anyways pfft.

                I could fight one.

Pfft forget that she's on crew. If I somehow survived her man-like punches from her massive rowing induced arms, I'd be killed by an oar.

Although as goes for Guido, he'd be nothing

Everyone wants to become a mod for merely deconstructive purposes, which is ironic because the position is for people with constructive purposes. It's not about being able to ban, bragging to your friends or having a green name in the chat, it's about knowing the game AND the people and not only helping but leading a way of order. It also helps to be epic in the Gbin.

EDIT: I asked about a year ago, hehehe, I was a nooblet.

Re: how do i become a mod... a forum mod

There's a lot more to it than all of that. First of all, it's rare that we even think we need more staff. Our forums see maybe 500 posts a day. That's not really that many. It's spread out among ten people, so even if half have class all day and can't check on the site even once a day, we're still covered. If we ever need mods for anything, it's if another mod retires or for something outside the forums.

Everyone is eligible for moderatorship if the position ever opens and we tend to be democratic about it all.

Synth continually makes new things, so it's possible that in the future, new games will need new staff moderating it. And it's pretty obvious the forum mods have zero interest in modding Multiplayer or the Chat, so modding a new game would be pretty out of our league. That's your only hope for a staff position.

ps - im nto a gost
