hey scottish and jimerax, i am not a very well known FFR player, but if i PM you guys some SS's can i get added to an appropriate tier? (tier 4) wouldn't that save you guys some trouble of looking everything up?

Problem with average rank is that it forces you to whore out easy offbeat songs, which many if not most good players don't really want to do.

Is there a way to set up an average rank system using the 1-6 rating scale system and just excluding the 1-3 songs? (Or some other qualifier that would yield the best of the best and average them together?)

I'm sure it could be done even if by a separate program and such. That seems easier than creating this system and constantly checking every little detail from 48 songs from 100s of players.


Sorry if this had been addressed already, it's on first page and I haven't read the whole thread.

EDIT: In other news, I only have 9 pts haha. 10 of them have 1 miss or so.

In my opinion everything should be solved in mp,for instance if baha can AAA every song in the game in sp why no mp.Since this tier system has nothing to do with mp and more of a best overall score youve ever gotten if some one is tier 1 and I beat there ass in mp 9 times in mp who is truly better?I agree with that sp scores play a huge part in how good you are but to much is determined on it,mp scores will show how good you are consistently unlike that 1 good score you got in sp.

So I say mp should rain supreme over everything else.

MP is too laggy for some people to play effectively. My laptop is old and slow...anything harder than Breaking the Common and the game is choppy as hell (even in low quality mode) :\

This ranking system is good but, again like the others, I think the difference between goods and points on the scale is disproportionate in some instances

lol thanks for the support guys.. no offense but you shouldn't have two tier 1 players who are at the top of the game doing this, because everything seems easy to you guys. and while something like an SDG on tribal (hypothetically) seems like a joke to you guys it's tough even for those at the top of tier 3. i nominate tass to help as well, he has his head on straight. but otherwise, great job with this it's really looking good, congrats guys.

Also Include songs like Thinking Different, Enthustansia, GGPR, maybe even SoaSB.These could have just PA requierments instead of FC as 1 point.

Ok some things while I have time to address them, I'm busy until later today
1. This is actually the best way to rank people. MP there is lag, a tremendous amount of lag, and scores would not match up to what people are capable of doing in Single Player. Overall rank, well, speaks for itself. It is based on Overall score, that is about it. Average rank, there are problems creating a list, so that will not be happening for awhile. We did have something like this already, it's nothing new, but now it's just more organized.
2. You guys may send us screenshots of all 48 songs, if you'd like. We are not asking you to do anything, at all, but thats on your own accord if you want to.
3. I will be looking over the list later with Shash again, and maybe we will be able to do something about the drastic point differences in some songs. I know the list seems quite tough, but your also dealing with three players who know what they are doing.
4. I don't know about adding songs right now, once we start adding things that the majority already has, it's just easy points. If we added things that had a massive amount of AAA's, which kind of what my list came out to, then it would be quite easy to get into tier 2 and tier 3 would consist of more people than Tier 4, we don't want it like that.
5. Jimerax and I will be doing rankings once the requirements are permanent, whenever that will be. We are also trying to do a few nifty things, that Jason or Synth may take care of, that will make our lifes easier.

You say this avoids combo scoring, but to me, it's really scored like this:
perfect: 0
good: -1
average: -2
miss: -infinity
boo: 0 (20 boos=fail)
What kind of messed up scoring system is that? You could get all perfects but one miss on an extremely hard song, and get zero points. Plus, based on this scoring system, where getting more perfects doesn't do you any good, using hidden arrows could only do you bad, but I must admit that people shouldn't be posting them. One more thing I'd like to get straight. Songs require 20 boos or less to count, but the AAAs require 0 boos to count, right? And AIM has boo no requirement.

wouldnt playing easy ass songs like ( Mario 8bit, Resistance) etc., let noobs climb into the Tiers?
