FFR Player

I've played something like 2000 songs on FFR, and consider myself more advanced. However, it seem that even when I ace songs, my rank is still in the 1k-2k range because of my 'Good's. If I don't ace a song, I rank anywhere from 1.5k-8k, or thereabouts. Problem is, my rank doesn't say much to me, and it isn't all too encouraging either.
My suggestion is that with the new FFR (Third Light? whatever it's called) version, there should be some improvement to the rank, perhaps you can be a certain level, aside from your multiplayer level, so that your rank can be less than 1000 for once. What I suggest is that you would start FFR as a level 1, and as you get higher scores/better percentages of the perfect score, or any different gauge of ability, you can level up and actually see increases in rank. Of course, there would be a cap to how high level you can be, and advancing in level would become exponentially more difficult as you progress. Say you could go from Level 1 to Level 2 very quickly, because you will quickly get the hang of FFR, but once you reach Level 15, you will have to do a far more difficult song to advance to 16. You could also have goals for each level, or requirements. Perhaps some require you to have a certain score on a given song, others a certain combo on a particular song, and some could just be total overall score from your account ever. Kind of like an RPG where all there is to it is leveling. Yes, it isn't completely necessary, but it would be oh so helpful in giving players a sense of improvement as they continue their FFR careers. |
