Default Advanced Placement Courses

Those who dont have these need not reply.

For those who do, don't you think that some of the material that they teach in the mainstream AP classes such as English (lit and lang) Government, etc. is really not up to an AP standard. I remember sitting in AP english language last year, and the teacher said "This is the equivilant of a college course." After the year was over, I was thinking, WTF? That wasn't college material, I could do that crap in the 7th grade. Anyone else feel this way?

Edit: Then again, this could be do to the fact that I live very close to the Mexican border. Mexicans here for the most part have elementary problems with english. That may or may not be their fault, but I dont think they should be allowed into AP classes if they are having excessive linguistic problems. MAybe thats why the material is watered down. I don't know, but I'd love to see them fail out of college because they thought they could coast throught it like they did in high school.

Bah. I hate political correctness. Anyway, now I getting off topic. Post your thoughts on this.
