I live in suburbia. There are black people here. Plenty. I live in the deep deep south. If you want to talk about working hard, I can do that too. My very recent ancestors were pioneers to this area. They came in during the dust storms and somehow managed to grow their food and raise their meat. They lived an incredibly humble life. They are the reason why I live today in "white suburbia". If people want to get out of the ghetto they can. The problem is, just like most of the rest of modern society, they aren't willing to put forth the effort to get out of the ghetto. They grow up with the criminals, they become the criminals, and they stay the criminals. Your statistic is true, not on basis of color, but on basis of effort.
