Clearly if the post is deleted, it's helps. It's better than nothing. It's a choice between lots of posts that are competely unnecessary, or less/no of those posts.

Good luck. Did you see that post your age thread I made? Yeah, the demographic in there is pretty much spot-on for the rebellious little fuckhat group that wants to do their own thing, because they're an individual goddamnit. You can't control those people with anything short of a banstick, and mods can't ban.

Furthermore, if you understand those issues lingering, then address them... Now. And I'm glad you know there are answers, but do you KNOW the answers?
How about you prove that a more present authority wouldn't help control "those people." The issues don't need to be recognized and I dont address them because there is nothing I can do about them (unless I start some sort of organized protest).

Yeah that does go through my mind. See above point about age-demographic and flame war situation. Also, deleting makes the people wonder 'where the hell did this thread go?' You lock it so people can know that it turned into a crapfest and that it was moderated.
I've already refuted the first point. As for the deleting, I feel there are some topics that should be deleted. When I look through the topics locked around the forums, I see some that have no purpose.

Halt the presses, incoming kristalnacht... the MoogyPrivateer gestapo is on the loose. Oh, and I have trouble believing your rules will be clear since nothing else in your whole post has been clear yet. Furthermore, prove how they would be drastic improvements.
Having to prove that the proposed changes would be improvements is like having to prove that a police department would help stop crime. For example, if you had IP bans in a chat, obviously there would be less retarded chatting.

You are a moderator on a board that noone cares about? Congratulations, post-flow at arch0wl's site is extremely low, though the forums are nice. Postay ratios? Sounds to me like you're a spammer. Please clarify the good points about your post to day ratio. And your forums? Probably has no post-flow, you don't learn to be a mod from postless forums.
The reason we mentioned that is because it has many of the members that come here.

The point we were trying to make by presenting you with the ratio is easily understood. You really shouldn't jump to that conclusion so quickly.

His forums still provide good administration experience.

And what exactly does poster of the year by EZBoard mean? He hit submit the most? Although Privateer's track record isn't that bad, I'd like to know what these 'large, successful forums' are.
The EZBoard award thing was to set one member of the millions as a role model.

Se my line about your slogan in above post.
That was just to spice up the post. It wasn't really supposed to mean anything.

And if you think I'm coming out here with a stupid and pointless attack, let me establish my moderating ethos.

Now wait a second, you spent half of your time arguing that mods wouldn't help, yet you aim to become one?

I don't want this topic to turn into many of the others we find on these forums. Aperson, as you are one of the more intelligent posters, I think you would make a good moderator. I'm not out to make enemies.
