Default Underground Vs. Breakthrough [Music]

heh - Almost 3 years and only now do I start posting. So yeah - 'ning all, hope to get to know you in time.

Anyway - point of the topic at hand:

Do you tend to stick with the more 'underground' music scene? Local bands, new talent, unsigned acts and the like or do you tend to stick with the mainstream acts? Whatever your response is - I'd also like to know "why".

Short and sweet - yep.

For me - I definately like to stick with the newer talents that surface every now and again. There's a certain "rawness" about hearing a new band perform live without all the techs that come with a well-groomed piece. This 'rawness' is something which I've come to adore over the years and is something that can only come from the small, intimate venues that these "no-bodys" play.

But this isn't to say that I don't follow signed acts as well - of course I like some of that too, but there's something on the other side of the fence that keeps me on my toes.

Gooooo
+Edit: Heh, wrong forum. My bad. What a great first impression!
