Doubt anyone on this forum will know of a fix for this but I'm posting it just in case. Before describing my problem I will explain the current setup. My laptop is running slackware. I use KDE as my window manager. ALSA is set up. I have four different browsers installed: Firefox, Mozilla, Opera, and Konqueror. In Konqueror I found an option to pipe sound through artsd. Now for my problem.
Firefox, Mozilla, and Opera run flash fine with no sound. In addition, they initialize xine when non-flash background sound is present and use it to play the media. Konqueror runs sound in flash, but with a delay. For example, I'll load a song up in flashflashrevolution and the arrows start coming up before the song begins. Heres another example from flashflashrev: rolling over characters typically gives off a sound, but the sound comes through about two seconds after rollover. Stepmania has no sound lag on this machine, so the problem must be either in flash, the browser configs, or the arts config. I'm looking to fix this problem in hopes of getting flashflashrevolution working on the laptop. Has anyone had this problem before/know of the fix? Thanks!
