I played SM for the first time in a long time and wondered if anybody ever played #est. After I made #er and people were like "psh too easy" I made #est but I never checked to see if anybody played it. So I searched for #est scores but they were pretty much all Heavy, not Oni. In fact, most of the people who mentioned Oni said it sucked. So like, I wanna see what people can do on this song now, and if anybody ever really plays it or if it's a giant joke.
And for the record, here's the story behind #, #er, and #est: Basically, I was a FruityLoops newb and wanted to prove that songs sound more Asian if you only use the black (sharp) keys. So I made the original # (meaning Sharp) and then stepped it. I thought it was way too easy, so I made #er, which was the same style but much faster. Then I found out people were AAing that already so I was like "OH YOU WANT HARD, I WILL GIVE YOU HARD!" then I made and stepped #est. The parts that are jacks and freezes are actually in the music. I will send you the .flp for it if you want and you can see it in the notes. Basically, if you were to look at the SM steps and the .flp notes side by side, they'd look ridiculously similar (with the only difference being that SM only has 4 choices for placement). So the steps are ridiculous, I'll admit, but it's all there in the music. But anywho, I just wanna see how people can do on it, especially Oni. Even when I first made it (and was a lot better than I am now) I couldn't get through the first real stream at all, and now I do even worse.

So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =( In less-depressing news, I got a job for an online business (which sells non-electronic games, of all things!) which has taught me a lot about marketing online and all that jazz. So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright. And I write the blog for their website. Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =O |
