so I just switched to linux
fl studio in wine on this pos laptop is probably not the best idea, especially given how annoying it was to set it up on my brother's desktop the demo for renoise is surprisingly robust, the only big thing I can't do is export to wav. I tried using renoise's in-program sample creator but it's something I'll have to work at, so for the time being, I want to work primarily with samples from outside sources. vsts aren't an issue, since I can use something like fsthost for them. what I'm looking for are samples. anything and everything. post youtube vids of stuff for me to cut up in audacity, post sample packs that you might have, post tips for tracking in general if you have any. of course I'm not asking for my hand to be held, I just want a bit of extra help in creating sample databases. I'm also learning puredata, but the learning curve is steep as hell and I also have to configure ALSA/JACK. fortunately pd-extended is a thing. thank u Last edited by choof; 01-5-2016 at 11:18 AM.. |
