Legend Of Dragoon - My Progress Thread

Hey all,

So I really love this game, first of all. I owned it as a kid and have since lost it after many years and lots of re-locations. Very sad, but thankfully this game is available for digital download on the PSN for a low price of only $5.99 (no tax!!)

I figured I would just share my progress every now and then just for fun. It's a great game and I enjoy talking about it while letting people in on my progress. So, yeah... This.

Also, it should be noted that I will try and get all characters to max lvl (60) and get all weapons, gear and just at least 1 copy of the 2 armor pieces that cost 10,000 gold. Getting money isn't the easiest, but if I can manage to grind enough for 3 of each, that will truly make this game rated E level of a challenge if you know what I mean.

Oh and uh, spoilers if you haven't played this and had a shit child-hood...

Day 1 of Progress Telling!

Alright, so I have had this for a few days now, and I play when I am not busy with school or work, which gets me a few hours a day at best, unless it's the weekend.

So far I am just completing the events that take place in the town of Hoax, having beaten the first encounter with the Giganto, Kongol and having the Spirit of the Red-Eye Dragoon awakened. Also, Rose is a playable character now, yay, now I can replace that battle worthless (as of now) woman, Shana. Silly girl and her bow n' arrow!

On a item/ collectible aspect, I have 9/50 stardust. Don't think I have missed any at this point iirc. Have opened all chests that I could have accessed at this point.

Progress Update!

So, finished the Marshlands and Villude areas, and have completed up to obtaining the White Stone Dragon Spirit. Currently just fighting so that I can finish the last addition for Lavitz/ Albert so that the Final Addition for him is unlocked.

All Players are lvl 13, except Shana who is inactive as she is sick from the poison. Dart's DLvl is 3, Rose and Lavitz are at DLvl 2.

Next Stop will be the return to Lohan for the Fighting Tournament and then to the Black Castle in Kazas. We are nearing the end of the 1st Disc!!!

Alright, everyone! This is the last update for the First Disc of the game!

Since the last update, I completed the 'Strongest in the World Tournament" in Lohan!
I tell ya, that was pretty fun whoopin' on some white folk! Black Pow'r, right!! ...right? (uh...)
Anyways, then that bastard-of-a-guy with silver hair decided to hand it to my ass, and won... But it can't be helped, when you aren't supposed to win, you just don't!

Ahem, anywho... After that I rescued King Albert from Hellena Prison at the unfortunate sacrifice of Lavitz, the most awesome-est, sexiest, most tough sounding Knight in all of Serdio... No homo! Ok, maybe a little....

Afterwards, we decided (we meaning the game characters, as if I had a choice in the matter.) to go to the Black Castle in the old, run down fortress looking city of Kazas! There we picked up six(6) Star Dust, and I'm sure that was all of them. I sure hope so. After infiltrating the Castle, we beat the poop out of Kongol for the second time. Of course, Albert did like 90% of the work, seeing as Gust of Wind Dance was at lvl 4 of 5 and doing a whoping 280% dmg <3 I sure do love that amount. *After beating Kongol, there is a MISSABLE item behind the last pillar before going inside the Chamber to the last boss of the Disc. It's the Material Shield. It's Great, don't miss it*

The last boss took some time, I tried to use as little items for healing as possible. I used guard a lot, and also used Astral Drain and Rose Storm as well. Final Burst comes in handy as well, for me it was doing ~450 dmg. Basically, Emperor Doel was no match.

WHAT A SURPRISE! Now we added one more Dragoon Knight to the team, Haschel! By the way, I didn't mention him earlier, but he joined the party after we lost the Tournament in Lohan. He is cool for an old guy, still smells weird though.

Welp, here are the current Characters stats for end of Disc 1/ Start of 2 = =

Dart - lvl 17, D'Lvl 4
Additions 1-3 are complete, Crush Dance is at 19/20

Shana - Lvl 12, D'lvl 2
Additions - She has none, duh. Pew Pew!!

Rose - Lvl 15, D'lvl 2
Additions - Whip Smack complete, More & More is 32/40

Haschel - Lvl 15, D'Lvl 1 (just got him, derp)
Additions - Double Punch 39/40, Flurry of Styx (But "Ferry of Styx" on screen when used, weird) is at 8/20...

Albert - Lvl 15, D'Lvl 3 (I use him a lot on purpose, too stronk)
Additions 1-3 are complete, GoWD is 67/80, then after that his Final Addition will be available, yay!

Gold - 9655. I would have more but I bought some weapons, armor and junk. I will start saving again eventually for the 10k pieces.

Star Dust count is 20/50!!! WEEEE!!! Doing well, I think!!!

Ok, end of current progress!! Will update again in a day or 2!

Phew! We are back with an update, albeit a very small one, for the start of Disc 2!

I'll make this one quick, since I haven't done much so far today.

Star Dust - 27! I am making good progress, and it's very doubtful I have missed any from what I can tell.
Gold - ~10,100

I traveled to Fletz, after the battle with Doel in Disc 1, in pursuit of Lloyd for being a douche pickle.
Learned about the Moon that Never Sets (spooky), and on the way to the flower city of Donau, I ran into some gang wanna-be thugs that after a battle found Dart off guard and stole his manhood... I mean, Dragoon Spirit! hehe...

Went to Donau to learn the whereabouts of the gang so I can get my manhood back, and learned that some poor sap got kidnapped, and now I have to help... Oh boy!
And Meru joins the party as well! Hip, hip, hooraaaay!

Now, I have to go back to Fletz, to get permission from the King of that place to Enter the VALLEY OF CORRUPTED GRAVITYYYYYYYYYY (not so spooky)

That's all I have really done, mainly just fought for a while trying to master more additions.
Since Dart doesn't have his manhood at the moment, I will stray from attacking with him, just because he wint get SP, so that means everyone else that can, will get more turns and SP.

I'm not looking at the game right now so i won't post stats on the characters. I will leave that for another update. Anyways... Boogaboogabooga! Stupud Dog!

Another update, guys. I'll try to be fast about it, I did a lot.

Finished The Valley of Corrupt Gravity, and Home of Gigantos, and the Twin Castle lines. Kongol joined the party, I purchased his dragoon spirit in Lohan for 1000g, and purchased 1 Legend Casque for 10,000g.

I am currently on the Queen Fury/ phantom ship area. I plan on staying here for a while to master any additions I have so far.
