A bit of a dilema

Ok...I need some advice or some viewpoints on this situation. It's like a "If I were in you shoes, I would...." type thing.

I have a crush on a friend of mine. She supposedly likes me too.

Should I chance ruining our friendship and date her, or should I just stay friends with her?
