Alden's Return/Computer Problems

I am only posting because I am lucky enough to be able to access websites without freezing on my own computer. This might only be temporary, seeing as I haven't been able to use internet browsers in several months on this computer.
So first off hi guys hows everyone doing
and now we go into the deep discussion about how my internet access is limited.
Computer 1: Freezes frequently, on bad days won't start up at all; on good days will access websites such as Newgrounds while WinAmp and AIM are open. Most heavily used for AIM and listening to music while asleep/awake/whatever.

Computer 2 (Main Computer): Used to be a God-send, but now internet browsers cannot access the internet, nor can AIM. However, the MMORPG game Conquer Online works fine, as long as you can stand your computer getting disconnected once every hour. What to do to restore internet connection: Turn computer off, pull out the Ethernet chord, put the end that once was in the computer tower in the modem, and put the end that was in the modem in the computer tower. Start computer back up and begin playing Conquer Online again.

ANY advice is appreciated on what I should do with either of the computers. Not having Internet Browsers on the main computer is a huge loss.
