well... yeah and that too... since I have more in teh way of hardware, some of those things I dont use, but the list aperson popped up for his software base - great stuff too. Make sure you got a good soundcard too... I've got a E-MU 1820, but started with a Audigy ZS2...but worry about that after you get the process down... baby steps lead to a sprint finish... (if you understand that)..but like we say, do waht you're comfy with, jsut don't fall in the "overly synthasized" sound trap. You'll find there is a difference between full, rich and analog, and hollow, "tinny" and synthetic
