I argue that deleting messages in a thread isn't the same as deleting messages in chat because when addressing the thread you are addressing the town, speaking from a podium, making a case - imagine a stenographer typing things down.
This does not happen in private talks - nobody is wearing a bug. A deleted messages is the same as a whisper not heard if successfully deleted. If you do it you risk getting caught and it's down to both players to use whatever social equity they've acquired throughout the game to do what they will with what just happened. that's the game. If you do a fair risk assessment on the situation you will note that it is a risk with fair consequences/rewards. |
