My biggest flaw at the moment is that I'm stupidly bad at dense jumpstreams. I can do them moderately well but once it starts getting too fast I just can't read it for shit no matter how hard I concentrate and I just flail and get a ton of garbage. The main songs I've been trying to gauge improvement with are Defection and Makiba since they are super heavy on jumpstreams (I have horrible scores on both of them compared to lots of other songs in the same range).
I could really use some good tips on how to practice this sort of thing in ways that I could actually improve since just simply playing the various songs a lot doesn't seem to be getting me anywhere. I've seen people saying stuff like "Just make a chart in stepmania and practice there", but does that really help with FFR? The timing, look, and feel are completely different. With the official coming up soon I want to get this nailed down ASAP since it's frustrating as hell playing in a range I can usually get close to SDGs on most songs but end up with 50+ goods and a bunch of other crap.
