ddr with hands - motion sensor or camera

So I want to play by holding motion sensors that trigger when they experience a lot of accelleration at once.
If its shaken when its at about chest level or higher its a up, right of my body a right, left a left, at about stomach level for a down. Id want one in each hand for jumps.

Anyone know how I could do this? Id want to use vanilla stepmania, but what hardware should I use?
