So, a few months ago, I was browsing craigslist looking for work. I saw a listing for a pilot IT program open to veterans. I was a bit skeptical at first, but I did a bit of research into the program, called Acuitis, and I figured that it was legit. So I sent my information.
Fast forward to about a month ago. They call me, and tell me that I had failed to send my military documents (specifically my military history and my asvab scores). So I grab my docs, scan them and email them a day before the cutoff date. I receive an email telling me they've received my info, and that they'd call me/email me before the 24th. Fast forward again to about 10 minutes ago. Dear Michael, The Office of the Acuitus Registrar is pleased to offer you a position in our June/July Veteran IT Training classes. Congratulations; your application stood out and we are confident that with your enthusiasm and drive you will be a great fit for our Veteran IT Training Pilot Program. We are still working on determining which specific class date you will attend; we will do our best to place you in your preferred start date, and we will notify you of your starting date on Tuesday, May 28. At that point in time, we will ask you to fill out a short survey to confirm your position in the class for which you have been selected. Again, congratulations on being accepted into the Veteran IT Training Pilot Program. long story short, I'm headed to Cali for a few months for a fast-paced IT school, much like AIT or tech school for the military. Fuck I'm so excited, omg.
