Default Re: ODIPack3 submissions (it's happening!)

bit howl (revision)
fun file but most of the mines needs to be taken out imo, i think they are only annoying and this file doesn't need mines to become harder. the first one's are ok, the one at the two single minifreezes on the right hand early in the file is ok, the one's at the long single freeze are ok, the one's at the 12th freeze are ok and the very last one's are ok. perhaps you could use them in one more spot in the part after that 12th freeze, but pretty much all other mines need to go i think. they lower the replay-value of what is a really fun hard file. it's really intense and fast but it never really gets too hard, good job with this one.

opened it up in the editor from measure 62-forward since that is where i stopped looking last time.

measure 62 the second 4th jump should be on the 8th before the jack?
measure 72 it's 3 16th jumps starting on the second 4th
measure 63-77 feel like there are 4th jumps here and there that don't go to very prominent sounds, and it would actually be a nice touch if this part was a bit easier, before the drums increase those last measures before the long freeze. it might make the end feel a bit more climactic.
measure 136 missing 8th jump?
measure 141 obviously all sounds are playing constant 16ths here, but since it sounds so different in this part of the song i like that you try to interpret it differently, although i don't really like it the way it is
measure 152 can be more color notes if you want to

it's a really cool file and good for scoring, definitely still wanna accept it

it's pretty easy and nothing fun enough ever happens. the freeze-sections are not bad but they aren't too much fun either so when nothing else really happens except for that i don't think it works out very well. the part with the 16ths melody and the layer was good but got old quickly and once again, something else just needed to happen.

my friend mudkip (revision)
it's fun but it relies too much on freezes to become challenging when it doesn't have to. sometimes they were good but often times it just feels excessive and there are soo many of them throughout the file that you get really tired of it and i think it lowers the replay-value of the file. one 32nd pattern early was really weird, it was like 4-5 arrows on the up arrow and then an up-arrow 8th right after or smth like that, it was very awkward and should be changed imo, otherwise it's good that not all the 32nd patterns are completly friendly, liked that there was one hard for the left hand and one for the right. also the end could and imo should be cut/faded out a lot earlier, the boring part goes on for like 40 seconds. if you fade it out from 2:20ish your file will become a short version too which will make everyone play it more

it's fucking cool. loved the beginning with the shorter 16th streams with jumpjacks, at the end of it i was thinking let's just hope the song starts mixing it up now, and it did. the next part all the way till the end is really cool. also a good file for scoring that is different from the rest of the pack so far, it has it's own style. i can tell from playing it a couple of times that it is very accurately made, couldn't spot anything right off the bat. i might look at it in the editor later myself or have kommi do it, but this is accepted.

well it's pretty fun i like jumpstream, but it's very slow and becomes very easy. lol i liked the monsterbpm 48th stream part-trick. it's a shame there is not climactic ending to the file. you could of course just layer it a bit more, don't think it would make it that much more fun though. i definitely like jumpstreamy files but they have to be a bit more challenging for this pack

lol endless jumpstream!! i enjoy jumpstream, but to some extent haha! something else obviously needed to happen in the file

v^3 hello world (revision)
great file accepted but i dunno about all the fail-mines, the first one is ok because it's a bit of a unique trick and it's so early but the one's in the end is just SO gay to accidentally hit and fail if you have a nice score, not too sure i like those. other than that i have no complaints.
