Default Re: ODIPack3 submissions (it's happening!)

side note: elitism still exists, not so much in the form of chart acceptance/rejection, but rather in the form of people's favorite files. The favoritism is especially noticeable within pack reviews (e.g. Kil files in moches' most recent pack) and is a personal pet peeve of mine as a stepper.

-------------

anyhow, responses for my Five Regrets file:

Quote:
1) there's something really weird going on in measure 19-20, this needs to be looked at.
2) measure 40, the first two piano notes almost sound like 16th gallops? its really subtle though so you can have it any way youd like, same for measure 42 though.
3) measure 42, 1 16ths too much
4) measure 47, there's 32nds or smth like that just where that measure starts if you want to add that.
5) measure 48-50, i would make the rest of the melody notes here freezes as well so that it gets a lot easier to follow when playing since it's an easy part anyway
6) maybe adjust the end of the file as well so that it doesn't have freezes at all going to the lead melody instead of one every once in a while. but this is up to you
1) I believe that's a very slight deviation in the syncing of the instrument being played. I didn't bother trying to make them into 192nds or something weird and colorful; that'd sorta compromise simplicity/readability. You might've also found previous examples of very slight syncing deviations such as in measure 17. Again, generalization is the way to go here.

2) ??? (wouldn't make much sense from a music theory/composition perspective though)

3) That left arrow 8th is actually the hi-hats, which the surrounding 8th jumps also follow. I can only cover this appreciably in this area, since it's relatively empty. Subsequent parts of the song becomes increasingly complex. In any case, I removed the hi-hat arrows. There should be a total of 858 steps in the heavy difficulty now.

4) ???

5) Heh, you think so? The small freezes are more of a visual touch to the cymbal crashes.

6) Hmm, that'd homogenize the chart I'd think. It's a matter of taste, but I'd like to think of those freezes as making the main melody stand out a bit more from the rest of the layering.

Anyways, thank you very much for your thoughts. I'll send the revision.
