note: I have no idea if any of these features are possible.
1. 10-key mode; 9 key mode; 8 key mode; a 5 key mode that isn't Pump. Basically you could go as low as 3 and as high as 10 and it would all be in the same "mode". 3. Changing between modes at the song select screen. I hate having to go to "game mode" to change between kb7 and 4-key. It would be ... so amazing if I could just select "mode" like I do "difficulty." 3. The ability to drag and drop, as well as copy and paste, entire sections of columns in the editor. 4. The ability to copy/paste sections of columns across a Stepmania window, in case I want to open two editors to transfer one pattern to another file. 5. Finger-specific designation in your setups, so that the noteskin knows what's a thumb and what's a finger and updates the notechart accordingly. Say I want to have an 8-key notechart with Q+W+E+V+B+I+O+P -- two thumbs, but atm there isn't a notechart to support that. 6. Saving setups and switching between them at the song select screen. Right now I alternate between 1-hand (left hand, Q+W+E+V), 1-hand (right hand, V+I+O+P), solo (1+2+3+8+9+0), and kb7 (1+2+3+space+8+9+0). It's a bitch. I need two Stepmanias to do it. 7. Isolation mode. This would allow you to chop off entire columns of a song and just play those columns. So, say, I want to do just the left hand part of a solo chart -- I chop off the last 3 columns. 8. Chordstream mode. This would just take a 4-key chart (or a 5-key chart), shift all of it to the right hand (B+I+O+P), and mirror it for the left hand (Q+W+E+V). If you want to play 10-key, you could do this with pump charts/Beatmania charts. 9. Smart autogen, where notes are shifted around to fill empty spaces and extraneous jack notes are removed. 10. Smart practice. So, say there's a part of a song I want to practice for 2 minutes on repeat and be graded on it. I go into the editor, select that part, pick "practice" and then select for how long / how many repetitions. |
