The thing with AP classes is that they count more because they are deemed "higher". I am in An AP class and an honors class, and doing well in those boosts my gpa a lot more than if I do well in my level three classes. I also would like to comment on the work ethics of AP and Honors classe kids vs. CP. It is true that AP kids do not work as hard. We have mastered what school is.... and that is learning how to learn. As mentioned before, the point of the test is not to see what you know in a subject, it is a test on how well you have prepared and can take tests. A majority of the people in my AP class know only general things, but they ace quizzes. This is done by googleing for the study guides in World History. Once this was found, they found the practice quizzes, which are almost the exact same thing. The period before in Computer Science, I and 2 others, Go online and print out the answers. We have learned how to learn. You don't learn logorithims and calculus to do it, you learn a different way to learn. Thats all. Whereas people in CP, tend to actually learn the material and do ok on tests. I have taken tests on subject matter never seen and done better than 85% of the class that learned it. I just take basic knowledge on test takeing and the subject and apply it. But, that might be because I read a lot more than most..... I'm a non-fiction verbivore :'(.....
