What? A giveaway, you say?!
Mmhmm, that's right, folks! We're quickly approaching the end of another year, and I thought: why not do another giveaway to celebrate?
Some of you folks might remember the first one from a couple of years ago when I put up 200k credits in total. Well, this time, I'm doubling up the prize pot to a minimum of 400,000 credits!

That sounds awesome! How's it going to work?
Simple - all you have to do is post in this thread with a number between 1 and 10,000 (inclusive) that hasn't been posted by another user.
Soon after the deadline (December 31, 2012 @ 11:59:59 PM server time), I will draw a single number within that range via random.org.

If the number you guessed is the fourth to the eighth closest to the drawn number, you'll win 20,000 credits!
If your guess is the second or the third closest, you'll win 75,000 credits!
And the one lucky poster with the closest guess will have 300,000 credits to add to his/her stash of credits!! - Many thanks to TC_Halogen for doubling up the jackpot!
Plus! I will throw in an extra 100,000 for the winner if his/her guess is within 10!

In case of a tie at the cutoffs (i.e. two people were off by the same amount), I will be giving the higher prize to the person who guessed first - so be sure to get those posts in ASAP!

I will be updating a list of current guesses as to help you folks not post the same number. If you accidentally end up posting a number that someone already took, I'll let you know so you can choose a different number. However, please note that you're allowed one unique guess, and once you're on the list, that guess is final!
