Prank goes too far

Last night, a kid who lives across the street from me (who also goes to the same high school I do) had his house & yard TP'ed and forked, and whoever did it also egged his truck. They didnt just stop at throwing eggs at it, though. They also put eggs in the gas tank, rendering it unusable so he has to pay money to get it either repaired or replaced (luckily he has two gas tanks on his truck). That's not all. They also made a makeshift Molotov Cocktail out of a Gatorade bottle, some gasoline, and a dry rag, lit it, and threw it in his mailbox. The resulting explosion flung the mailbox into the street, and the pole that the mailbox sat on is now warped as well.

I could understand egging someone's car or TPing his house, but the mailbox... correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that's Arson.

And here's the real kicker, today's a Federal holiday, so they can't investigate who did it until tomorrow.
