FFR Awards 2010 - Voting

After a bit of consideration and discussion with a few others on the staff, I decided that I will go ahead and host an official FFR forum awards for 2010.

Here are the people who will be tallying up the votes.

I forgot to mention this initially to those who are tallying. Tallies will not be made public until after voting has closed. You'll keep track of them on your own in private and I'll contact you via PM for your results.


The following are the rules of voting and the general process of events. A lot is basically the same as the rules in the previous forum awards thread.

I - Your account must be at least three months old to be eligible for voting. You must have at least 100 posts if you want to place a vote for anything within the "Forum" and "Threads" categories.

II – In order for your votes to count, you must use the template provided at the bottom of this post. Just quote it and fill in your choices for each category. Feel free to leave a note regarding your vote if you want to say something about it. Just keep it concise and make the name you are voting for distinguishable.

III – You may only vote for one person in each of the categories. You must use the person's FFR username as your vote. If you vote for more than one person for a category, none of your votes in that category will be counted. You cannot vote for yourself in any category. You don't have to fill out every category if you don't want to.

IV – Once you have voted, you only have two hours to make any edits if needed. If any posts are edited after two hours has passed from when the post was initially made, they will be deemed null and void. Think about who you're voting for before you vote. You have plenty of time.

V - You can only post votes in this thread. Any other posts will be deleted and you may lose your privilege to vote. If you have any questions or comments, send me a message outside of this thread.

VI - If you try to use an alt to put in extra votes, you will be banned and any votes made by you on any of your accounts will not be counted.

VII – Voting ends 11:59 PM server time on February 28th, 2011.

VIII - After February 28th, the votes will be tallied and the results will be posted in a separate thread.

I want to make some side notes before I move on to the vote categories.

-Besides removing the categories that obviously don't apply anymore, (FFYA threads) I removed the category for best thread within the TGB forum because of the recent wipe. It'll be back in the next forum awards. Additionally I reorganized a lot of the categories so they fit into a group more appropriately.

-The "Most Missed Staff Member" is a new category this time around to remember those who helped FFR up until it went down in 2009. There's also "Most Inspiring FFR Player" since I know most of us have had someone we've looked up to in that area.

-There's a possibility that this will be the last time there will be negative categories. It's been brought up but a general consensus has not been reached. I'm keeping them this time around partially for tradition's sake and partially so we have at least one more time to have our fun regarding them.

-For the categories involving a thread, please post a link with your vote. It'll make things a lot easier to tally and organize.

-Make sure to double check who the current admins and mods are when placing votes regarding those categories. The list can be found here.

-Here's a list of the FFR files released in 2010:

Favorite Poster
Maybe they don't always play by the rules, but you can't get enough of their posts.
